Today was just like last Sunday. I woke up 'round 11, watched the Canucks game at 12:30... headed to Sid's Vids for a Magic tournament, placed around 3rd, came home, ate dinner, sorted cards and watched TV 'til bed.
The picture in question today is of a vending machine I saw outside of the IGA in Wilson Creek today--yet another one that sells Peek-a-Poohs! Unfortunately I had no cash today, so no new Pooh. :(
Here's hoping I get one two Sundays from now, as there's no tourney on the next one. =\

Also, today I was still feeling a bit under the weather, although the Strepsils obviously helped the sore-throat part of whatever ails me.
Whenever I stood up to do anything today, I felt immediately hot, dizzy, and exhausted. That said, I was still able to get myself together enough to attend (and enjoy) the Magic Night.
While it might just be that absence makes the heart grow fonder (as there was no Magic Night last week) I really, really, *really* enjoyed the MN this week. It was fantastic! Everyone was in a good mood, I did some good (and bad) trades, played a few good games, played a few crap ones. I still couldn't help but smile the entire time.
I'm still planning on attending the Sunday-afternoon Magic tourney at Sid's Vids this weekend, but I'll have to take the bus to do so, so if I'm not feeling that great, I might just end up staying home.
I doubt that'll be the case though.

Today all I really did was catch up on a few TV shows (LOST is finally back on, hurrah!) watch a hockey game between the Canucks and the Blue Jackets, play a few hours of NHL 10 (I can use my PS3 again, huzzah!) and build a MTG deck.
I used to love building decks, as I found it was a great way to show my creative way of thinking, as well as use more of my massive collection, and switch up the game for me.
As of late, however, it has gotten sort of nauseating having to look through all my cards when it comes to building a deck. The reason my last (before the last 2) 3 or 4 decks were so easy to build is they were pretty much "in-block" decks, that is, decks using only the most recent blocks as a card pool, so I didn't have to look through my entire collection.
The other ones that were easy were because while I looked through my entire unused-rare collection, I never did the same with my uncommons. The decks aren't as strong though, as some of the ones that I've spent a sickening amount of time perusing cards to build.
So after I woke up this morning and watched The Daily Show and Colbert Report of the night prior, I set about looking through my white, blue, and green uncommons. It took forever. After I finished sorting the cards into piles of "want to use" "don't want to use" and "this is laughably bad", I needed a break.
I ended up playing NHL 10 for something like 2 or 3 hours, having not picked it up since last October. I think the only reason I wanted to play it was after watching the gold medal game between the United States and Canada in the Winter Olympics, I suddenly got all pumped about hockey, and wanted to pick the game up again.
The next day, when I went to go play it, however, Sony had issued a warning that owners of "fat" PS3s shouldn't turn them on for 24 hours due to a catastrophic time glitch that would destroy data, and maybe even your life.
It was that 24 hour period of wanting to play it so badly that lead to me playing it for 3 hours, or at least that's my guess.
Yeah, so that was my day. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to get ready for bed, as I work in ze morning after having just had 5 days off.

Today we (and by we I mean Canada) won the hockey game against the United States, and also set records for winning the most gold medals in the Winter Olympic Games (on home soil.)
I woke up early, watched the game, and then headed out to Sid's Vids in Wilson Creek to partake in a Magic tourney that they were holding. I had intended on playing in the Sealed Deck tournament, but there weren't enough players, so I had to borrow a deck from the man holding the event, and came in nearly last.
Next time I go to play a Sealed Deck tournament, I'll be sure to bring a Constructed Deck with me just in case. Maybe Goblins or Slivers. Or Allys [sic]. Something that wins a lot.

Scott & our friend Tom have a regular night when they get together & play Magic: The Gathering. Last week this Nerdfest was at our house, and Tom brought all these pretty rocks and he even laid them all out nicely on the table so I could photograph them. ;-)
